• Try not to solely focus on getting as close to 21 as possible. One useful Blackjack tip is for the player to always keep track of both their hand and the dealer's hand. People who forget that the goal of the game is to get a better hand than the dealer often bust more often than they should.
• The player always goes first, because of this the dealer always as the advantage. The dealer is also advantaged in that they can still win even if they bust after the player.
• Remember that the dealer must take another card even if they have a winning hand with a value of 16, and risking the possibility of busting. The dealer has to follow these rules, regardless of their position.
• Try to split up your aces and eights, as neither of these cards operates well as pairs in one hand. They do, however, make a good start for two new hands.

• Some casinos allow unrestricted doubling down. Others restrict doubling down to 9-11 on the first two cards. Another common rule is allowing aces to be re-split. A good Blackjack tip is to look for casinos that allow doubling down on any valued cards, with very few restrictions.
• Tables were dealers must stay on all 17's maximizes the odds for the players, rather than tables where the dealer is allowed to take another hit on a soft 17.
• Crowded tables make it more difficult to card count. The less crowded the table the more likely it is for the player to get a feel for the decks and this also allows for more plays between shuffling.
